  • Follow social distancing policies.
  • Wear a mask (unless unable to for medical reasons).
  • Have had no symptoms or exposure in the last 14 days.
  • Temperature of less than 100.0F.

 Mask Policy:

  • Patients and approved visitors must wear a mask

Employee Screenings

All of our employees are screened before they are allowed to enter work each day.  This includes employees, providers, and vendors.

Our Surgical Specialties

Our surgeons have developed a special interest in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and oculoplastic surgery.

Our surgeons have focused in these four areas to bring the highest level of care to patients with these diseases. Kunesh Eye Surgery Center has four different laser platforms for the treatment of glaucoma and diabetes as well as the latest technology used for cataract and oculoplastic surgery.

Medical Eye Care

Our medical services encompass diagnosis and treatment of all adult eye diseases. Kunesh Eye Center has invested heavily in new technology for the detection and monitoring of glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

This new technology includes HRT imaging, OCT imaging, pachymetry, and advanced visual field software. This technology has enhanced our ability to detect disease earlier as well as monitor for progression to prevent vision loss. Our ultimate goal is to help you maintain the highest visual quality for your entire life. We offer:

Medical eye examinations Diagnosis for all adult eye diseases Laser and medical treatment for diabetic retinopathy Laser, surgical and medical treatment of glaucoma Cataract surgery using the latest technology The most advanced diagnostic equipment for glaucoma and diabetes Outpatient surgery center

Dr. Michael Kunesh and the staff at Kunesh Eye Center are ready to help you with all your ophthalmologic needs. We provide a safe, comfortable space to optimize your eye health. As ophthalmology experts, we diagnose and treat many eye diseases, perform surgery and advise on the management and care of all vision health issues.

Cataract Surgery
As the eyes age, the lens often becomes cloudy, forming a cataract. This condition is very common and interferes with many daily activities. Driving, cooking and even climbing stairs can become dangerous. Fortunately, cataract surgery is generally a simple out-patient procedure. Your ophthalmologist removes the clouded lens, replacing it with an artificial lens. This quick procedure makes a huge difference in patients’ lives. A newer laser option is suitable for some patients, and may make recovery even faster.

Glaucoma Treatment

Regular glaucoma testing is important because catching the disease early helps prevent or slow vision loss. At Kunesh Eye Center, we lower and monitor the intraocular pressure that makes glaucoma worsen. Depending on your individual situation, we may prescribe medicated eye drops, medications such as beta blockers, surgery, laser treatments or other therapies.

Diabetic Eye Disease Management
At Kunesh Eye Center, we realize that our patients with diabetes face their own special set of eye health issues. These include increased risk for cataracts and glaucoma as well as diabetic retinopathy, a condition in which the blood vessels in the retina are damaged, drastically reducing vision and often leading to blindness. If caught in the early stages, treatment and follow-up care for diabetic retinopathy go a long way in preserving your vision. Because of this, we recommend more frequent eye exams for our diabetic patients.

Treatment for Corneal Disorders

Your eye is protected by a clear outer layer called the cornea. It helps keep you safe from germs and dirt which can harm your eye’s delicate structure. However, the cornea can easily become damaged through infection, injury or various diseases. We diagnose and treat the full spectrum of corneal disorders, including the more than 20 corneal dystrophies that can compromise your eye health.

Treatment for Vitreoretinal Disorders

In the back of your eye, the retina and vitreous can be affected by macular degeneration, macular holes, retinal tears or detachments, floats, flashes, eye cancer and other conditions. Dr. Kunesh uses advanced training to diagnose and treat these varied and complicated vitreoretinal disorders.

Dry Eye Treatment

Many people’s eyes produce insufficient lubrication, leaving them feeling dry and uncomfortable. If your eyes burn or sting, come see us so we can help you feel more comfortable. At Kunesh Eye Center, we can identify the causes of your dry eye and make a treatment plan to ease the condition. This could include eye drops and lifestyle changes.

I was in town visiting family and had an issue with my eye that worried me and needed to be checked.but couldn’t get in with another physician until later, and their reviews weren’t as high. I phoned Kunesh and was greeted by Julie, super pleasant on the phone and when I described my issue, she was very prompt in getting me an appointment. From the moment I arrived the staff was all busy working and multitasking. While I was filling out paperwork Elaine took

  • If and when you have a retina tear, this is the place to go. I was seen on a Saturday and was the only patient. If you live long enough and are near sighted and see Northern lights inside call. You will be seen. Normally this is not a problem, but only an ophthalmologist can tell. To avoid the long wait take the earliest appointment offered. If not, it is definitely worth the wait. The optometrist is great, too, but must be requested. Their attention to detail is amazing! You will have drops, s
